As you can probably tell, this is an entire roll of film. Just around work and my neighborhood. After each shot I only advanced the film ten or fifteen clicks, instead of all the way to the next frame. It's a terrible mess, but I had fun doing it. I would suggest going mid way between frames which would give you twice as many shots as normal (a lot more than the ten or fifteen clicks I used). It's just too muddled. With some practice, I'm sure you can make some really cool montages.

You have to download the image to see it full size.

How did you get it printed? Did you put it back together in photoshop?

Yeah, I told them to just cut it wherever looked convenient. I did my best to stitch it back together in PS. Another thing I'd suggest, and will probably do next time... only take 4 frame's worth at a time, so they don't have to chop through the images.

thats what I try to do, They can scan 4-5 frames long in one scan too actually, even longer in a drum scan apparently.
This is great stuff by the way!

Thanks Rob!

There is some real potential in these kinds of pictures. Unfortunately, it's a real pain to do it in camera since you need multiple shots to come out properly on top of each other. I know the unpredictable nature is half of the (potential) coolness factor... The alternative is attempting to create the same effect with separate individual images in PhotoShop. It gives you unlimited control, but that's part of the problem I think. Much less happy accidents. You can still make some interesting images that way though.

Not that this is anything new, of course. People have been doing all kinds of creative film manipulations for decades. But it's still fun.

great visuals! well done. Have you tried vuvox.com/collage ? could lend well to a horizontal format.

Vuvox is a cool idea, but it misses the entire point of this specific site which is dedicated analogue photography
